The NDIS is an Australian Government national scheme which provides funding to eligible people with disability to have better quality of life and create more time with their loved ones, gain freedom, new skills, jobs, through participating in community activities and projects.
Over 500,000 Australians with disability are now supported by NDIS to access the services and supports they need.
Types of supports funded by NDIS

  • everyday life personal activities
  • assistance with transport to travel to community, social, economic and life activities
  • workplace assistance to allow a participant to successfully maintain employment in the open or supported labour market
  • health care and behavioural support
  • assistance with household tasks to allow the participant to maintain their home environment
  • home maintenance, design, or construction
  • vehicle modifications and access to mobility equipment.

Eligibility
​
Individuals between ages of 7 and 65, who are Australian Citizens or have permanent residency in Australia, require support from others and/or require the assistance of special equipment may be eligible. Check your eligibility here.
